A free app for people doing it tough
Everyone deserves to know
where to turn.
When you’re sleeping rough, the hardest part isn’t that help doesn’t exist — it’s that nobody tells you where it is. Alice puts a hot meal, a safe bed and a doctor on one map. Free, no sign-up, works on any phone.
Why Alice exists
The help is already out there.
On any given night, more than 122,000 Australians have nowhere secure to sleep. Around them sit thousands of services — kitchens, crisis beds, bulk-billing clinics, laundries.
The gap isn’t compassion. It’s information. Opening hours change. Beds fill by 4pm. A service that helped last winter has moved. Without a way to check, people walk for hours to a locked door.
Alice closes that gap. One map, live availability, no account required — because asking someone to make a password before they can find dinner is its own kind of barrier.

What your support already built
These aren’t projections. This is what’s on the Alice map right now, read live from the database as this page loads.
Every listing is verified with the provider before it goes live.
How it works
Built for the worst day, not the best phone.
Designed with the constraints that actually matter: a cracked screen, 4% battery, prepaid data, and no patience for a sign-up form.
Open the map
No account, no email, no questions. Alice opens straight to a map of what’s around you.
See what’s actually open
Services update their own availability — so a full shelter shows as full, before someone walks there.
Get directions or call
One tap for walking directions or a phone call. Works offline with the last map you loaded.
$30 keeps a city’s listings accurate for a month.
Alice is free to use and always will be. Donations cover verifying opening hours, keeping the map live, and adding the next city — not advertising, not overheads.
Paid by PayID or bank transfer, so no card fees are taken out. Can’t give money? An hour a month confirming opening hours by phone is worth more to us — other ways to help.
