When you’re sleeping rough, the hardest part isn’t that help doesn’t exist — it’s that nobody tells you where it is. Alice puts a hot meal, a safe bed and a doctor on one map. It also lets people receive money directly, now that almost nobody carries cash. Free, no sign-up, works on any phone.
Why Alice exists
The help is already out there.
On any given night, more than 122,000 Australians have nowhere secure to sleep. Around them sit thousands of services — kitchens, crisis beds, bulk-billing clinics, laundries.
The gap isn’t compassion. It’s information. Opening hours change. Beds fill by 4pm. A service that helped last winter has moved. Without a way to check, people walk for hours to a locked door.
Alice closes that gap. One map, live availability, no account required — because asking someone to make a password before they can find dinner is its own kind of barrier.

Almost nobody carries cash any more. “Sorry, I don’t have anything on me” became true, and the small change that used to reach someone sitting on the footpath quietly disappeared with it.
Alice gives every person who wants one their own PayID and a QR code. A passer-by scans it with their banking app and the money arrives in seconds, into an account in that person’s own name.
